Three Angles Color Spectrophotoemter CS-390 Application Part 1. Why need three angles spectrophotometer for color measurement? 1. Three angles color spectrophotometer is mainly used for car paint industry to measure the metallic paint, pearlescent paint and effective paint. Observing the effective paint from different angles, the human eye has different color perception.   So it is necessary to measure the car paint with multi-angles spectrophotometer. How to find car paint formula? We will need spctrophotometer and software, firstly. Now we introduce how to do it step by step.     Step 1. Car paint manufacturer will build the color formula database in instrument PC software.     Step 2. Open the PC software, click “database-find similar color”.   Step 3. Measure the sample, software will help to find the most similar color and get formula.   Part 3. Film Haze Tester TH-100 Operation Introduction TH-100 haze tester is an economic model which is designed for customers with lower budget. It is vertical model and can also be placed horizontally to measure different kinds of samples such as plastic films, plastic sheet, glasses, screens, etc.   Today we will introduce the operation of TH-100 haze tester. 1. 0% Calibration Put 0% calibration cover on the instrument, press “test” we can do 0% calibration.     2. 100% Calibration Make sure nothing is in the measurement aperture, press “test”, we can do 100% calibration.     3. CHNSpec Bench-top Color Spectrophotometer CS-820N VS Datacolor 800V Color spectrophotometer CS-820N made by CHNSpec is all-in-one spectrophotometer which can measure both reflectance and transmittance.                                                             Recently, we receive a custom inquiry for measuring metal button color. ​   We received another sample from our customer. The customer's sample is plastic sheet and they need measure color, haze and transmittance for their samples. Recently we get an order from university.The professor need to measure flower petal.Today we will share how to measure it.   Step 1. Prepare the instrument and samples. We are using spectrophotometer CS-660 with 4mm aperture (Because some of the petal is small).     Step 2. Switch on the instrument and then calibrate it (white calibration and black calibration)     Step 3. Put the spectrophotometer test aperture on the petal, then press “print”, we can view the measurement area by camera to avoid measurement error. (Camera is a very good function when the samples are small or with pattern) At last, press “test”, we can see the sample L,a,b value on screen     Step 4. Press “menu”, we can enter into the color difference measurement page. Recently, we have done a project for a customer to measure chemical powder reflectance and liquid transmittance measurement with our benchtop spectrophotometer CS-820.   The following are the customer’s sample pictures.     Now we will introduce how to measure chemical powder and liquid color. Chemical Powder Reflectance Color Measurement Step 1. Switch on the instrument, and then calibrate it.     Step 2. Open the Color QC software. Connect the instrument with PC by USB cable. Put the sample on the measurement aperture and fix it with the fixture.       Step 3. In order to make sure the accuracy, we will measure 3 points on one sample. After measurement, we can see the test result directly on the software.     Chemical Liquid Transmission Color Measurement Step 1. Choose “Transmission” on software.       Step 2. Do transmittance calibration on the instrument.
